Split fiction is a ton of fun, delivering an amazing co-op adventure jam packed with action and creativity.
The levels are visually gorgeous (love that cyber-city), and filled with original and evolving mechanics that continually push the boundaries of what co-op games can accomplish (Especially in that Incredibly creative final sequence). The various powers are fun, the chase/action sequences are amazing, and the side stories are fantastic, with each premise more captivating than the last. The somber sci-fi levels contrast well with the lighthearted fantasy levels, and it’s a great time all around. However, some of the later levels do drag a little, and the story beats just didn’t really hit in the way I would’ve liked.
It’s not nearly as indescribably magical or special as It Takes Two was, but split fiction is still an incredible game, and one of the best co-op games ever made.
Is It Worth Playing ?
