Rematch is a great take on soccer, bringing the same flavor of Sloclap’s signature refined mechanics from Sifu to a multiplayer experience. Every action and movement feels precise, making your victories feel earned and raising the skill ceiling to that sweet spot you generally want in a multiplayer game like this. The stylized look borrowed from Sifu looks just as good on its characters as it does on its variety of gorgeous stages, which undoubtedly elevate the experience. It’s cinematic, it’s fun, and although it does occasionally get a little repetitive/dull with its slower paced matches, it’s a great time all around.
