Organ Quarter

From the moment I stepped into this meticulously crafted world, I was hypnotically engrossed.

The atmosphere is heavy and beautiful, weighing on you with its delightful dread in a way that paradoxically makes you feel comfortably uneasy. The silent hill inspirations are thoughtfully coated throughout this game, painting it with a familiar, yet original, ambiance, and focusing on atmospheric and psychological horror, rather than cheap jump scares. Each individual location has its own uniquely altered ambience, and the eerie walk to the university will stay with me forever. The mechanics were fun, too; I loved being able to write on my map as I progressed through buildings; a more hands on approach to a classic survival horror feature.

In a vacuum, I would likely rate this game an 8.5/10, but given that this is the most immersive and atmospherically impressive VR game I’ve ever played, I’m bumping it up to a 9.

Is It Worth Playing ?

Definitely.
