Life is strange is visually gorgeous, dropping us in the middle of a beautiful, colorful, and mountainous town in Colorado. Getting to walk around and explore the shops and the nature is meditative, and lots of fun. Unfortunately, the story, the writing, the pacing, and the characters are all lackluster.
Story segments drag without providing much substance or development, Alex’s powers are underwhelming in the ways they’re utilized, most of the plot points aren’t very interesting, and the story’s climax is disappointingly anticlimactic. There’re some nice moments, and some fun to be had, but I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this game to someone who isn’t already a fan of the series.
Is It Worth Playing ?
If you’re already a fan of the franchise or if you’re looking for a way to walk around a beautiful town in Colorado, it very well might be.
