Helldivers 2 provides an incredibly fun and intense co-op experience, successfully making you feel like an expendable (and occasionally heroic) foot soldier in a greater-than-thou galactic battle. The large scale skirmishes you’re thrown into feel epic and cinematic, and the wide array of tools/stratagems at your disposal gives the game a good amount of replayability. Attempting to extract (or otherwise survive) with friends is incredibly fun, and the occasional accidental(?) friendly fire is hilarious. The sense of community in this game upon release was palpable, too, which added to the whole experience. Great game.
