For Honor has one of the most well designed and exhilarating melee combat systems I’ve ever seen in a PVP game.
The visuals are gorgeous, the animations and finishers are incredibly fluid and cinematic, and the mechanics are amazing in both their creativity and their depth, making every battle feel like a cinematic, visceral, and immersive spectacle, to a degree you don’t usually get in PVP games. The base concept of the game, pitting Knights, Vikings, and Samurai against each other, was already captivating in its badass simplicity, but the original mechanics elevated this game to a whole other level.
Simply amazing.
