Fallout 4 provides a gorgeous post apocalyptic experience, teeming with countless interesting locations that make exploration feel organic and rewarding. The vast improvements in gameplay and graphics did a lot in bringing the world of fallout to life, with my favorite improvement being the power armor that actually feels like power armor now.
Unfortunately, those improvements were accompanied by a reduction in the quality of writing. None of the side quests are really all that compelling in the way they were in 3 and New Vegas, and the main quest line, although thoroughly enjoyable and filled with shades of gray, felt like it thought itself to be a little more thought provoking than it was.
All in all though, I had an incredible time with this game, and found myself lost in its world for countless hours.
