“Don’t let him in” is an attempted homage to classic survival horror games, both in its gameplay and in its visual presentation. The word “attempted” is key here, as most of the game falls flat.
The writing is laughably bad, the gameplay (specifically the limited combat at the end) is terrible, the insanity mechanic is a glorified timer, the lack of an inventory system takes away from the experience, and the game is riddled with game breaking bugs that forced me to close out of the game multiple times. The concept for the plot itself actually isn’t half bad though, and it definitely could’ve been salvaged had the writing been even remotely decent. Additionally, the ambiance in some of the locations is pretty well done, and some of the exploration was pretty fun. Sure, the game is objectively bad, and I definitely wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, but I actually had fun through a decent chunk of it.
Is It Worth Playing ?
Unless you LOVE the genre and don’t mind playing a game with many faults, no.
