Chess Ultra features nice visuals, beautiful music, and a relaxing atmosphere to play Chess in. The challenges are a fun way to hone your skills and deepen your understanding of the game, and the whole experience feels very polished. Ultimately, though, it just isn’t the ideal way to play chess. The additions are nice, but playtime is slow and tedious, and the online matches are laughably bad in their pacing. It’s a nice and relaxing time if you come for the ambience and the challenges, though.
