Astro Bot is a masterpiece of pure, unadulterated fun. Even as someone who’s not generally a big fan of platformers, Astro Bot kept me completely captivated the entire time, yearning for more.
Every level is ingeniously designed, oozing with creativity in both its mechanics and its visuals/animations, making every bit of progression feel like a spectacle. It never once drags, and never once makes you forget just how good of a time you’re having. All the little homages to all the various PlayStation characters were both fun and touching, creating a nostalgic journey that had me anticipating which characters could possibly show up next. After every level, I’d head back to the home planet just so I could see my newly collected characters and the fun little corresponding items/set pieces they’d have.
Astro Bot is simply an amazing game that just about anyone can have a ton of fun with.
