All-Star battle R is an enjoyable fighting game that neither exceeded nor failed to meet my expectations.
The sizable roster is impressive, hosting just about every Jojo’s character you’d want to play as, and I loved the variety in stages as well, many of which had fun and unique gimmick animations. The graphics look pretty good, and a lot of the ultimates are well animated. The gameplay itself, though, is pretty underwhelming. A lot of the movements and attacks feel a little stiff and janky, and none of it feels very satisfying.
The experience as a whole is enjoyable enough, but the actual fights just don’t hit the way you’d really want from a great fighting game.

If you enjoy fighting games and you’re a fan of Jojo’s, yes.
