Sifu

Sifu is one of the best games I’ve played in recent years, harboring some of the most refined and polished combat mechanics I’ve ever had the pleasure of learning.

The difficulty of the game goes beyond a fun little gimmick; rather, it’s integral to the experience. Sifu challenges you to master yourself and your understanding of the game. There’s no XP grinding, there’re no new overpowered weapons to acquire, and there’re no exploits when you come across a boss; there’s just you, your hands, and the skills you’ve honed on your journey. I was a little disappointed when they added an easy mode after I got the platinum, because I felt it cheapened the essence of the game, but it’s a minor and ultimately irrelevant addition, since it’s optional. On top of the incredible combat, Sifu is visually beautiful, displaying a distinct and original aesthetic/art style that beautifully compliments its Chinese influences.

Once you get the hang of it, this game truly makes you feel like you’re in a kung fu movie, from its badass executions to its awesome level designs/set ups.

Is It Worth Playing ?

Absolutely.
