Hellblade does an incredible job depicting the haunting reality of schizophrenia, and engrossing the player in the fear and paranoia that comes with it. Senua’s story is heartbreaking, and the Norse world we’re thrown into is beautiful, both visually and conceptually. There’s a lot to love here. With that being said, the gameplay itself, including both the combat and the puzzles, does get repetitive at times, and I occasionally had issues with the pacing.
Is It Worth Playing ?
If you’re willing to deal with occasionally monotonous gameplay for an amazing story, then absolutely.
