Resident evil 5 is one of the most enjoyable and well developed co-op experiences I’ve ever had, hauling you and a friend through an incredibly engaging, cinematic, and cool campaign filled with crazy boss fights and awesome (albeit sometimes a little over the top) sequences. Sure, it pushed the series towards a more action oriented direction while sidelining a lot of the great horror resident evil is known for, but it did so in such a fun and exhilarating way that I never once stopped to mourn what could’ve been.
Resident evil 5 also blessed us with the best depiction of Wesker, who stole the spotlight every time he was on screen. I have really fond memories of replaying the demo countless times before finally sinking my teeth into the full game at release, at which point I was so blown away by the quality of the experience that I settled on making Resident Evil 5 my very first platinum. I really can’t understate just how fun of an experience going through the campaign with a friend is, especially with the various well thought out co-op features and sequences sprinkled throughout. Mercenaries is a great time, too, delivering endless hours of post-game content.
Overall an incredible game, and one of the very best co-op games in existence.
Is It Worth Playing ?
Definitely, especially if you have a friend to play with.
